“He looks class” — Liverpool fans gather first impressions of new signings

Liverpool fans got a first glimpse of several new signings yesterday as Brendan Rodgers’ side got their pre-season off to a flying start with a 4-0 victory in Bangkok.

Joe Gomez, Danny Ings, Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner, Adam Bogdan and Divock Origi all made their first appearances for Liverpool in the win over True Thai All Stars.

Newly appointed club captain Jordan Henderson told the club’s official website after the game the new faces in the squad are integrating well.

“I think everybody’s settled in really well, we’ve got a good group of players but also people as well,” he said.

“Everybody’s helping each other settle in and I think these two weeks it’s important to get everyone together away and do a little bit of bonding and then when we get back we’ll be flying.”

For the Thai crowd and those watching around the world, it was the first impressions of a busy summer of transfers so far, with Brazilian Roberto Firmino still to begin pre-season training.
