Liverpool go into Thursday night’s Europa League qualifier against Turkish side Trabzonspor 1-0 up from the first leg at Anfield a week ago.
Ryan Babel scored the only goal of the night, with a fine strike on the stroke of half time before Joe Cole missed a penalty in front of The Kop in the second half.
Cole is likely to start for the Reds, whilst serving a domestic suspension for his red card against Arsenal on the opening day of the season.
However Liverpool come off the back of a crushing 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League, with Sunday’s league game at home to West Brom firmly on Roy Hodgson’s mind.
The game gets underway at 6.30pm on Thursday evening.
