Football clubs around the world paid tribute to the 96 this week after Tuesday’s Hillsborough inquest verdict delivered justice.
Ending a 27-year wait for justice, jurors concluded that the deaths of the 96 at the Hillsborough disaster in 1989 were unlawful, exonerating supporters of any blame.
While the investigation continues with culpability landing at the feet of police and ambulance workers at the ground, this marked a milestone.
One of the most shocking events in footballing history, the Tuesday’s verdict sent reverberations around the sporting world, and was fittingly marked over the week.
Here’s how clubs around the world paid tribute to the 96, their families and the survivors.
