Takumi Minamino is on the verge of joining Liverpool in January and supporters have been left delighted with the news.
The Reds are reported in to have agreed a deal in principle for the Salzburg attacking midfielder.
The versatile Japanese player caught the eye during both Champions League group stage matches against Liverpool, cutting a silky figure in the final third and earning praise from Jurgen Klopp in his post-match press conferences.
His performance at Anfield was so good than many fans felt it was one of the best by an opposition player in years.
The 24-year-old can join Liverpool for just £7.25 million due to a release clause in his contract, making it an absolute bargain, too.
Here’s the best fan reaction to Minamino’s expected arrival.
Impressed by Minamino (and Hwang) when Salzburg played #LFC. Quick, sharp, clever and classy. And can play multiple positions. Clearly made an impression on Klopp as well.
No wonder he said he "loves what they are doing" afterwards!

He's massively earned this. Was superb over both legs and his versatility will be a godsend. Klopp no doubt salivating at this one. #LFC

“Has proved he can play, scores and creates plenty and even if he didn’t succeed with us were hardly going to lose out on any cash at that price” – Elliott Smith on Facebook.
“Seems such a perfect player!” – Iluvator on the forums.
Has all the hallmarks of another Edwards / Klopp masterclass. Has looked like a #LFC player in both CL games and a player who can play the Firmino role. Would be a brilliant addition and amazing deal if it comes off! https://t.co/yCtvB9dsxI

The last 2 seasons, the January/February has been put down fall. It’s good to see the club being active this time around.

Didn't know a lot about Takumi Minamino before the Anfield game but he's one of the best opposition players I've seen in the flesh – so lively and skilful, and popped up all over the pitch. If he can be got for a £7m release clause then that would be one hell of a bargain #LFC

Should Liverpool sign Minamino, there's a good chance he'll make his debut in the Merseyside derby FA Cup game. Will be particularly confusing for the commentators if Mane and Mina both play too.
