Liverpool are taking a 19-man squad to Belgium for their Champions League group stage clash with Genk, without Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip.
The Reds will look to build on their 4-3 victory over Salzburg last time out with another victory in Group E, with the Austrian side hosting Napoli at the same time.
Genk held Napoli to a 0-0 draw in their most recent European outing, and could serve as stiff opposition to Jurgen Klopp‘s side, who were disappointing in a 1-1 stalemate at Man United on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah was absent at Old Trafford, but returned to training on Tuesday and is part of the 19-man squad.
However, both Matip (sore knee) and Alexander-Arnold (virus) miss out, which will force Klopp into at least two changes from the weekend.
Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren are likely to be the pair to come in, though James Milner is also an option at full-back.
Young right-back Neco Williams trained with the first team before the flight but will instead join the under-19s for their UEFA Youth League clash.
Harvey Elliott was also part of the senior squad at Melwood but will play against the Genk U19s, though Rhian Brewster is named in Klopp’s selection.
Beyond Matip and Alexander-Arnold there are no other new injuries, but Xherdan Shaqiri is still sidelined.
Klopp should provide a more accurate assessment of his side’s fitness at his pre-match press conference, which will be held at 6.30pm (UK time).
