Jurgen Klopp has named a strong side for Liverpool’s fifth pre-season clash of the summer, taking on Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
The Reds continue their pre-season preparations with a showcase friendly against Hertha at the Olympiastadion, marking both clubs’ 125th anniversaries.
Having sealed victories over Tranmere Rovers, Crystal Palace and Leicester City so far this summer, Liverpool will be looking for another productive performance against Pal Dardai’s side.
Klopp left Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marko Grujic, Ben Woodburn and Danny Ings at Liverpool’s training camp in Rottach-Egern, while Loris Karius, Danny Ward, James Milner and Nathaniel Clyne are all injured.
Nevertheless, the German has been able to name a strong starting lineup in Berlin, along with 11 substitutes, including new signing Andrew Robertson.
Simon Mignolet starts in goal, behind a back four of Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno.
Emre Can is set to take up the No. 6 role in midfield, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana supporting Klopp’s three-man attacking line.
This is comprised of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Divock Origi.
Along with Robertson, the likes of Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Ovie Ejaria are all on the substitutes’ bench, with Klopp likely to make wholesale changes at some stage in the evening.
