Spanish newspaper claims Liverpool bid €75m for French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe

File this under most unlikely transfer to happen this summer, but Spanish newspaper Marca claim Liverpool have bid €75 million for French striker Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old has taken Europe by storm this season, as Monaco lifted the French title and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

Real Madrid and Man United have been linked with summer moves for the teenage prodigy, who has drawn parallels with Thierry Henry scoring 26 goals in all competitions this season.

In a report completely out of nowhere, Spanish paper Marca claim that Liverpool have submitted a written offer of 75 million euros for the French attacker – that’s around £65 million in this post-Brexit world. They say the offer was rejected.

Such a figure would smash Liverpool’s record transfer deal, which still stands at £35 million for Andy Carroll.

Marca claim that over 100 million euros will be required to tempt Monaco to sell.

One to remember for later in the summer when you laugh about the mad transfer rumours!
