Liverpool were in excellent form as they sealed a 6-1 victory at home to an in-form Watford at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool 6-1 Watford
Premier League, Anfield
November 6, 2016
Goals: Mane 28′, 60′, Coutinho 31′, Can 43′, Firmino 57′, Wijnaldum 90′; Janmaat 75′
Extending their unbeaten run to 12 games, the Reds steamrollered the Hornets on Merseyside.
Goalscorers Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Emre Can all produced emphatic displays, while goalkeeper Loris Karius will be disappointed not to cap an improved showing with a clean sheet, after Daryl Janmaat’s consolation effort.
Adding the icing on the cake, 18-year-old midfielder Ovie Ejaria made his Premier League debut and Georginio Wijnaldum scored his first goal for the club to help Liverpool go top after 11 games.
Here’s how supporters reacted on social media throughout Liverpool’s 6-1 win.
Liverpool started strongly, with Coutinho, Firmino and Lucas Leiva all going close…
Would have been straight to town if Lucas scored, there

Last time Lucas scored, Hodgson was in charge…

Liverpool making but wasting chances at Anfield. First Lucas and now Coutinho. Should be 2-0 up.

Mane, Firmino and Coutinho terrorising the Watford back five.

But it was Mane who netted the Reds’ first, heading home Coutinho’s cross…
Finally!!!! It was coming!

Before Can made it 3-0 with a strong header before half-time…

Liverpool had four players in the box at the end of that counter attack. Can was the one who made the difference.

2 years ago team with Suarez was electric. This is a much more balanced side. Doesn't matter who gets the goals. Some first half

More great work from Adam Lallana saw him set up Firmino for Liverpool’s fourth…

But Janmaat denied an impressive Karius a clean sheet…
Watford have enjoyed a mini-revival since the fifth goal, so no real surprise there.

Wake up, Liverpool
