Liverpool won 1-0 against Swansea City at Anfield on Sunday, and we round-up the best social media reaction from during and after the game.
It was far from the prettiest win you will ever see, but another three points for Jurgen Klopp‘s men saw them rise to sixth in the Premier League.
James Milner‘s penalty proved to be the only goal of the game, and the return from injury of both Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge was a huge positive on the day.
Here’s how social media reacted to the game:
There was certainly plenty of pre-match joy when it was confirmed that Henderson and Sturridge were among the substitutes:

Was surprised to see Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge among those getting off the players coach. Huge lift to have both back on bench

Henderson and Sturridge on on 60 to mess them up .

A fairly disappointing first-half performance saw Liverpool fail to create many chances of note, and supporters and journalists gave their verdicts during the interval:
Anthony Taylor should be given an OBE for services to football when he blows his whistle to end this half.

HT #LFC 0 Swansea 0: Neither team has had a shot on target. Atmosphere as flat as the performance,

Way too static… way too slow and ball watching in the final third. The closest we’ve got is actually a clearance from Swansea defender.
Lovren and Can both been good so far, the rest very average. #LFC

With victory secured, fans gave their thoughts on the all-round performance:
#LFC uninspiring but victory all important – as was the return of Sturridge/Henderson. Winnable… https://t.co/BwVTMejIsU

It can all come undone very quickly, but at this point in time, #LFC are are bang in the title race. Klopp has made that happen.

Lacklustre 3 points are still 3 points. Some of the teams above us drew, meaning it was a good weekend.
Liverpool need to improve their performances at home badly. Awful today and lucky to get a result.

Ibe was the MOTM I think – he’s still very unpolished but you can see he is progressing game by game.
Crucial December period. #lfc are 6 points of top spot. Key players returning from injury could push us on.

We've been to the Emirates, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, The Etihad and White Hart Lane & 4 off the top 4. I'm happy with the progression.
