Liverpool were held to a frustrating goalless draw in the FA Cup quarter-final against Blackburn on Sunday. We round-up the best reaction on social media during and after the game.
After such a superb run of results and performances, this forgettable 90 minutes was an absolute damp squib from start to finish.
Martin Skrtel’s early injury seemed to ruin the Reds’ momentum a little, and Gary Bowyer’s Blackburn side were more than deserving of a draw. They defending doggedly throughout, and had some good chances to win the game.
Too many Liverpool players were below-par on the day, whether it be Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can, Adam Lallana or Daniel Sturridge, and they will now need a replay to overcome Rovers and reach the semi-finals.
Some 0-0s are better than others.

That’s far from ideal, given the fact that that game will likely be a few days before Brendan Rodgers’ side host Manchester United in the Premier League. Being ultra-positive though, at least they are still in the competition.
Here is how social media reacted to the drab 0-0 draw, with fans, journalists and ex-players voicing their opinions.
Marriner does everyone a favour by only adding on 1 min. Awful game. Credit to Blackburn, deserved a replay. #LFC nowhere near good enough

This is a grim game of football. No redeeming features.

Poor game, poor performance, but we know we are so much better. We've now 8 days rest, looks like we need it. Onwards & upwards. #LFC.

Poor game. That’s a replay in ten days at Blackburn. That will be another tough fight, which we could have done without, but that’s the FA Cup for you: no easy games.
Shocking game, but these things happen. Still got to fancy winning at Ewood Park. Hats off to Blackburn on a terrific display. #LFC

Johnson's lack of concentration at times is baffling.

If Liverpool happen to win the FA Cup, today's draw means they won't have won a home game in the competition.

We will get there on the replay. Now some rest for the team. #LFC

Frustrating. Important save from Mignolet just after the break or it could have been worse. Toure definitely should have had a pen in 2nd half with the chance he missed. Overall though you just couldn’t see the goal coming. It was Bolton all over again.
I definitely prefer Can as a RCB than a CM

Liverpool have had over 20 shots in all five of their FA Cup games this season, yet have only scored 6 goals in total.

We’re still in the FA cup. It’s all a matter of perspective.
Using Lallana as a winger is so pointless. He doesn't have the pace to beat a man and he just kept crossing the ball to nobody.

Credit to Blackburn & Gary Bowyer there set up nullified Liverpool mainly from Lee Williamson & Corry Evans doing a job on Coutinho/Lallana
