Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori makes his second loan move away from Anfield, this season joining Ligue 1 side FC Girondins Bordeaux.
The defensive shake-up at Liverpool this summer continued today with the confirmation that promising Portuguese centre-back Tiago Ilori has joined French Ligue 1 side FC Girondins Bordeaux on a season-long loan.
The deal sees the 21-year-old venture for further top-level experience, following a spell with Granada in La Liga in 2013/14.

Ilori is a highly-rated defender, with both pace and tactical intelligence which will serve the player well both this season and in the future under Rodgers at Liverpool.
The youngster joined from Primeira Liga side Sporting CP in a deal reportedly worth around £8 million in 2013.
Yet to make a competitive appearance for the Reds, Ilori made nine La Liga appearances last season for Granada, making one assist and keeping three clean sheets.
Particularly impressive was the struggling side’s 1-0 victory over Barcelona, wherein which Ilori successfully stifled Lionel Messi.

Shame Ilori won't get a chance at #LFC this year. Hope he gets games out at Bordeaux

Thought we should of kept Ilori tbh, would of got a few games in the cups. Or at least loan him to a prem side, better experience.

A full season in Ligue 1 will give the centre-back another chance to test his mettle.
