Jack Robinson was thrown straight in for Wolves after joining them on loan on Monday, playing 90 minutes of their 2-1 defeat at Barnsley last night.
The defeat moved the former Premier League side down into the Championship relegation zone.
Robinson will face competition from regular left-back Stephen Ward at Molineux.
Wolves boss Dean Saunders said upon the 19 year old’s arrival “He’s really aggressive and he’s a winner.”
“I’ve spoken to Brendan Rodgers, Steve Cooper who was his coach at the under- 16 and 17s, and nearly all the coaches he’s played for, and all of them have been very positive. Sometimes a young lad, a fresh face, comes in and lifts the place.”
Wolves fans we spoke to suggested Robinson’s arrival was much welcomed by supporters who have been frustrated by a lack of enforcements to their leaky defence this season.
