Anne Williams’ Hillsborough Petition nears 100k mark

The petition for Anne Williams, whose son Kevin died aged just 15 at Hillsborough, to have her inquest brought forward is nearing in on the 100,000 signatures required to trigger a parliamentary debate.

Anne has campaigned tirelessly for justice for her son and that the crucial 3:15pm cut off time be overturned by the Attorney General. Last month she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and is in a hospice in Southport.

Earlier this month Anne wrote on her twitter:

Thank You everyone for still pushing the e. petition, I am taking things a day at a time.

The people who have gone to extremes to cover up the true facts about kevin and 3 Attorney Generals over the years have still covered it up.

I would love to have my inquest before I die.

As of Monday afternoon the petition had 91,000 signatures.

Liverpool supporters handed out leaflets to raise awareness of the petition prior to kick off at Saturday’s match.
