Chelsea vs Liverpool

Liverpool travel to London to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

After the disappointing display in Europe Rafa Benitez’s side will be looking to get back on track with what would be a huge victory over Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The Reds are in great form domestically, having won their last four Premier League matches, scoring 16 goals in the process. Last time out they saw off Hull City 6-1 at Anfield.

Benitez will be hoping Javier Mascherano will be fit after he missed the defeat to Fiorentina. The Argentinian skipper will be needed to add some stability to the Reds’ midfield.

Fabio Aurelio could replace Emiliano Insua at left back. Daniel Agger could be back in the squad after he played 70 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday.

The last time Benitez’s Liverpool faced a team managed by Ancelotti was the Champions League Final 2007, something Liverpool will be keen to avenge.

This fixture last season saw Liverpool end Chelsea‘s 86match unbeaten home run, courtesy Xabi Alonso’s goal.

Kick off on Sunday is 4pm, live on Sky Sports (UK).
