Spaniard admires Reds wants to stay at Real

Alvaro Negredo says that he admires Liverpool and would love to play alongside Fernando Torres, but hopes to stay at Real Madrid after the La Liga giants bought him back from 2 years at Almeria on a clause in his contract.

Negrado may now be used by Real to piece together further transfer deals this summer as they look to bring back memories of their ‘˜galacticos’ era. Brazilian Kaka has already been signed for £56million and they are on the verge of completing an £80million deal for Christiano Ronaldo.

Liverpool have been linked with the striker recently and some reports say he could be part of a deal that sees midfielder Xabi Alonso move back to Spain.

But 23-year old Negrado says that he hopes Real have brought him back to the Bernabeu to be part of their future plans.

He said, “I have already said that I think that is a great club and it would be incredible to play alongside Torres. But I prefer not to talk about that, because for now I am a Madrid player.

“My first option is to stay, but we will have to see how many forwards there are at Madrid. For a player like me, who comes from the youth team, it is difficult to win a place.

“What I need is to play games and I want to be able to do that with Madrid.”
