Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says that defender Fabio Aurelio looks set to be sidelined through injury for one to two months, not six months as some reports have suggested.
Aurelio sustained a knee injury whilst on holiday in Brazil, and Benitez confirmed the left-back will miss the start of the Reds’ 2009/10 campaign.
He said, “He was injured playing with his son and really disappointed because he was enjoying the summer.
“He had the operation – he has had a problem with his cartilage – so he will be one month, maximum two months, not six months like I see in the press.”
