Andrew Robertson to have Liverpool medical on Thursday

Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson is due to undergo a medical on Merseyside on Thursday before sealing an £8 million move to Liverpool.

The Reds have agreed a deal worth an initial £8 million with the Tigers, with add-ons potentially taking the fee to £10 million.

Robertson has one year left on his contract at Hull, but is now set to become Jurgen Klopp‘s third signing of the summer, following Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah.

After leaving Hull’s Portugal training camp on Monday to discuss a move to Anfield, Robertson is now booked in for a medical on Thursday.

The Times‘ Paul Joyce revealed details of Robertson’s impending switch on Twitter:

This comes after Hull made a bid of up to £8 million for Reds midfielder Kevin Stewart, who is heading to East Yorkshire to discuss terms with the Championship side.

Academy winger Ryan Kent could follow Stewart to the KC Stadium after Liverpool also accepted Hull’s season-long loan offer.

Robertson made 39 appearances for the Tigers last season, scoring once and assisting a further three goals, but couldn’t save his side from relegation from the Premier League.

Hull are overseeing a mass exodus at the KC Stadium this summer, having already seen Harry Maguire, Curtis Davies, Tom Huddlestone, Josh Tymon and Eldin Jakupovic leave among others.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have parted ways with three players in the transfer window so far, with Andre Wisdom joining Derby County, Lucas Leiva leaving for Lazio and Ryan Fulton signing a two-year deal with Hamilton Academical.

Stewart, Kent and Sheyi Ojo are set to be the next through the Anfield exit, with the latter drawing loan interest from Newcastle United, Middlesbrough, Derby and Fulham.
