Liverpool confirm pre-season friendlies against Tranmere and Wigan

Liverpool have confirmed a pair of domestic friendlies against Tranmere Rovers and Wigan Athletic, to kick off a busy pre-season schedule.

The Reds will spend the majority of their summer abroad, including their involvement in the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong and a series of clashes in Germany.

But before their head off, Jurgen Klopp‘s side will take on Tranmere and Wigan, as the club confirmed on Thursday morning.

Their first friendly of the summer comes away to Micky Mellon’s Tranmere on July 12 (7.45pm BST), before a trip to the DW Stadium for their clash with Wigan on July 14 (7.30pm BST).

Liverpool played both Tranmere and Wigan last pre-season, with the two local sides providing a welcome kickstart to the summer.

The visit to Prenton Park could see the Reds face off against former academy striker Jack Dunn, who joined Tranmere on a free transfer after his contract with the club expired this summer.

Tickets for each of these matches will go on sale soon—keep checking www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/tickets-availability for further information.
