Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic

Deadline day: Christian Pulisic’s dad rules out move for Dortmund winger

Liverpool saw an £11 million bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic rejected over recent days, and the player’s dad has ruled out a move away from BVB.

The 17-year-old American is extremely highly-rated, and Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the attacker.

Klopp promoted Pulisic to the Dortmund first team in his final season with the club, and he has since become both the youngest foreign player to score and the youngest player to score a brace in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool’s interest then is clear, but Dortmund were never likely to sell and certainly not at £11 million.

Now, the teenager’s dad has ruled out a move away from the Bundesliga club.

“Christian has no interest in leaving the club,” Mark Pulisic reportedly told German paper Bild. “He had a good half year last season, and wants to continue to break through.”

It looks highly unlikely Liverpool will be doing any incoming business on deadline day, with the only dealings involving offloading the likes of Luis Alberto, Andre Wisdom, Mario Balotelli, Lazar Markovic and Tiago Ilori.
