Philippe Coutinho scored the crucial goal for Liverpool just before half-time against Man United in Thursday’s Europa League second leg.

The Brazilian chose the right time to score his first European goal for the Reds, and his first goal against United.

Picking the ball up on the left, the 23-year-old jinked past Guillermo Varela and then produced an audacious dink over David de Gea at the United keeper’s near post.

A sublime finish from the Reds’ no.10 for his first eighth goal of the season.
