Bolton 2-3 Liverpool

Liverpool secured a vital victory in their Premier League campaign by coming from behind twice to beat ten-man Bolton Wanderers.

Kevin Davies had given the hosts a 32nd minute lead and it looked to be another depressing day for the Reds.

But Glen Johnson bagged his second goal for the club just before half-time with a goal from 28 yards to give Liverpool hope going into the second half.

But just a minute after the restart Tamir Cohen put Bolton back into the lead with a close-range volley, shortly before Sean Davies was sent off for a second bookable offence after he fouled Lucas.

Just two minutes later and Bolton were undone by a great and composed Fernando Torres finish from inside the box.

And Steven Gerrard’s 83rd minute goal gave Rafa Benite’z men the win, finally taking the lead against a resilient Bolton side.
